Short Bio

General Practitioner - Assoc. Professor at University of Antwerp - Visiting Professor at Hue University (Vietnam). His main research interests are situated in the field of chronic and complex care delivery and interprofessional collaboration in health care with a focus on type 2 diabetes mellitus. Recently his main teaching and research activities have focussed on palliative care. He is director of several PHD thesisses, coordinates guideline development in palliative care and prioritises research to the elderly and the most vulnerable people in the community. He is also involved in implementation research of Primary Care / Family Medicine in Vietnam.
