Short Bio
I’m a GP and Professor of Primary Care near the city of Bath in Southwest England. My qualifications are MB BS FRCGP MMEd. I have visiting academic posts at the Universities of Bath and Exeter in the UK, and at the Shupyk National Academy of Postgraduate Education, Ukraine. I also have a salaried post at the University of Bern in Switzerland. My academic interests are: research on early diagnosis of cancer in primary care (I lead the Örenäs Research Group, a 30-country European research collaborative: please contact me if you are interested in this); research in medical education; teaching about critical appraisal skills and medical statistics; developing primary care research in Ukraine and other countries that have relatively little experience of this.
