Short Bio

Hüsna Sarıca Çevik, M.D., graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Medicine, in 2016. She completed her postgraduate training in Family Medicine in 2020 at Ankara University with the thesis "The Sociodemographic Characteristics and the Thoughts on Primary Healthcare of the Women in the Women's Shelters Affiliated with the Municipalities in Ankara". After her obligatory service for the Ministry of Health as a family medicine specialist between 2021-2023, she was a Visiting Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Leeds for three months in 2023. She started working as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Ankara University in August 2023. She was an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Hong Kong, School of Clinical Medicine, Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care between 1 October and 31 December 2024. She has represented WONCA Europe in the PROTECT-EUROPE project, which aims to improve gender-neutral HPV vaccination across Europe. Her clinical and research interests are Women's Studies, Gender (in) Equality, HPV, Preventive Medicine, Primary Care, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Digital Health, and Orthopaedics. e-mail: [email protected]
