New Associate Professor of General Practice role advertised for Sydney Medical School in the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine and Health

Sydney Medical School (SMS) is seeking an inspiring academic medical practitioner with specialist qualifications in general practice to be the Associate Professor in General Practice.

This new position was created in response to the Faculty of Medicine and Health’s commitment to transform health and healthcare by increasing capacity in Community and Primary Care and related disciplines. This is an important leadership role that will report to the Dean and Head of School in Sydney Medical School, Professor Cheryl Jones, building up academic general practice related research. They will work alongside the Head of Specialty of General Practice, Associate Professor Fiona Robinson who oversees the Sydney MD Community block medical education and research school in a multidisciplinary Faculty of Medicine and Health.

The position closes on Sat May 29, 2021. Proposed shortlisting will occur in early June and interviews will likely be scheduled mid to late June/ early July.
